Rental Ski Boots
We have several different models of ski boots available for rent at the "Yurt Camp". All of the boots use the nnn-BC binding system (new nordic norm back-country). We have boot sizes from European size 36 to size 47.
Alpina Back-country Model 1550 (mens)
Our most popular BC model, this versatile boot is perfect for backcountry skiing, providing the right support for steep descents or all-day touring. Thinsulate provides warmth and comfort, while the plastic cuff and heel counter gives increased support and control.
These boots feature: Plastic cuffs, Plastic heel counter, Toe box protection, Power strap closure, Anatomic shaped footed, Thinsulate insulation, and a NNN BC rubber sole. Sizes: 35 to 49. Color: Black/Charcoal/Silver.
Alpina Back-country Model 1550 (womens)
A new women's version of our most popular BC model. This versatile boot is perfect for backcountry skiing, providing the right support for steep descents or all day touring. Thisulate provides warmth and comfort, while the plastic cuff and heel counter gives increased support and control. The women's model also features auto fit padding and the XC Women's last. This boot has the same specifications as the men's model but with a narrower last. The color is maroon and silver.
Alpina Back-country Model 1600
A full leather upper and stiffer sole make this BC model a solid performer in the back-country. This boot also features Thinsulate insulation, Alpitex Membrane for water proofing, toe box protection, and an anatomically shaped footbed.
Alfa Skarvet
This is a warm and dry boot that is quite comfortable. I have skied on this style of boot for many years in Yellowstone and find it a very versatile back-country boot. Our skarvets still feature the nnn-BC binding system so they fit any of our rental skis. The boot features: full leather uppers, gortex liners, thinsulate insulation, and a little wider foot bed.
Whitewoods
Model 305-NNNBC Thinsulate, weatherproof and breathable panels, quick dry lining, reinforced heel counter, gaiter "D" ring, toe protector, bellows tongue, removable insole. Sizes 36-49. The sizes in this model seem to run one size smaller, I normally wear a 43, but use a 44 in this boot. The boots also tend to run a little more narrow than our other models, making this a good boot for folks with narrower feet.
